Black ops 6: Tips for multiplayer
Black ops 6 just entered its 2 season, and it’s continuing strongly. In this article, we’ll learn how to play like the best of them.
If you don’t feel like doing all the missions and some of the more difficulty Easter eggs. Or maybe you just want to skip right to the good stuff. There’s always Black Ops 6 boosting. That way, you can make sure to get everything you need to make the best build for you.
Loadouts
An FPS to the core. Obviously, what you want first and foremost is a gun that you’re comfortable with. Maybe you’re a great sniper? Or being up close is more your style. Black ops 6 has a great variety of weapons to choose from, and you’ll surely find your cup of tea.
Once you find your weapon, don’t forget to customize it. And I don’t mean just make it pretty to look at! With some weapons, get around 8 different parts to customize, you can change the feel of the gun entirely to fit your needs. Reduce recoil, noise, make it hold more bullets or reload faster. Keep in mind, most of these attachments come with good and bad effects, so make sure your gun doesn’t become a hindrance!
Of course, weapons aren’t the only thing you can customize. There’s also throwables, gadgets and more importantly, perks!
There are three types of perks you can have:
Enforcer: good for players that seek a lot of action and kills.
Recon: for players that like speed and stealth.
Strategist: for players that depend more on deployable equipment and gadgets.
You can only pick 3 of these, but if you pick them all from the same category, you’ll get a bonus 4th perk.
Just make sure to get the ones that better fit your play style.
Leveling up
This might sound basic but leveling up is essential to getting more perks and guns, which means more fun! Now I’ll list some ways to easily level up
Play zombies: Zombies mode is back and with it, a plethora of missions and activities to give your account a higher level. Just start up the mode and have fun for a while. You’ll notice you level up, maybe even quicker than on other modes.
Play the objective: Free-for-all and death match are all well and good but playing other modes, such as “Domination” and “Search and destroy” will yield even more XP
Weapon XP: the more you use a weapon, you’ll get better attachments for it, as it has its own level. It also gives your account XP. Keep using it and once you reached their max level, just switch to another one.
Double XP weekends and tokens: There are various ways to get double XP tokens, most reliable is reaching a new prestige level, but you can also find them when they share codes in their social media accounts or in promotions with certain brands. It’s always smart to keep an eye out for these tokens. But like the title says, there’s sometimes periods of time when the game will just give you double XP. You can’t use a token when there’s a double XP weekend going on, so don’t worry about saving them for the right time!
Movement
Okay now that we’re done with everything that’s outside the game itself, we can talk about the gameplay.
Arguably the most talked about part of this game since its announcement was the changes to movement, dubbed “omnimovement”
Luckily, the first time you boot up the game it suggests trying out a tutorial for it, and it’s highly advised that you go through it. You can sprint in every direction, dive, slide, turn 180 degrees in any direction independently and you will not lose any momentum.
Make sure to take a look at the key bindings and that everything is set up in a way that you find comfortable. This game has a lot of intense situations that will call for you to have great reflexes.
Memorize the maps and make sure to dive around the corners. This is actually a really good strategy because most players will probably aim for your character’s torso, but they won’t be able to if you are midair! You’ll get the drop of most players this way.
Just overall take advantage of the mechanics and don’t stand still for too long.
Take hostages
In previous Call of Duty games, you could sneak behind enemies for a swift and stylish execution. In this one, there’s a new option. Taking a meat shield will block most damage from the front, which is good if you got the drop on a group of enemies. To do this, you’ll need to get behind a player and press the execution button twice. Also, you get to voice chat with whomever you’re holding on to so you can partake in some good old fashion trash talking!
Learn the maps
Unless you take the time to memorize some important locations of the maps, you’ll have a hard time with players that play from good sniping positions or hide in some maps’ secret paths.
Usually most maps have a couple routes to get from point A to point B so try to vary it up unless you want a camper to eliminate you often.
In conclusion
Call of Duty Black ops 2 is a fairly complex game to get good at. Specially compared to its predecessors. From creating a good loadout to learning the new movement options. There’s more of things to keep track of and learn, that’s without even mentioning all the events, crossovers and new modes being added every season. There’s so much to look forward to, so it’s critical to keep playing in order to become better. Have you tried the game yet? Are you a new or recurring player? Let me know if this article helped you at all.
